” A Coffee Shop in a Coffee Cup “, it is brand symbol for coffee shop, no matter who walking along the street, once they see the ” big size coffee cup”, it will draw their attention to this kiosk.
Why our designer work out this branded coffee shop kiosk? 5 years before, one customer from Romania send a photo of coffee cup, ask for customization shop kiosk. This kiosk should be collapsible structure so that save transportation cost, inside with heat resistant material so that
staff work under suitable temperature. Integrated outlook have to be same proportion as real coffee cup. Our designer made 3D rendering drawing and specification as below:
- Size: roof Dia 2050mm, bottom Dia1810mm, height 2600mm.
- Material: roof with fiberglass manual model technology, bottom sheet metal with powder coating finishing. Separated to be door, window, back wall total 4 pieces. Base with metal tube welded structure support, and wooden panels. Stainless steel shelf and working table, small refrigerator keep milk and ice.
It is interesting experience when we develop the roof, as we have to make sure the special roof can be flat packing, so that suitable for shipment. 1 step we made 3D wooden model with laser engraving machine. 2 step is make fiberglass model. Finally we success, 4pieces roof and bottom case packed together. We manufactured the roof in traditional fiberglass workshop.
But for the metal bottom wall structure, sheet metal work shop normally lack of experience for such kind of special shaped work. It took our rather long time for developing this sample. The wall pieces can be folded packing as drawing. All interior side we add heat resistant cotton.
Customer selected the black color rather than previous yellow color for the kiosk, all roof and bottom wall with black color. After goods arrived destination, they made gold color logo sticker branding themself. Mr Cosmin send their final assembled photos to me as below, very beautiful.
It is high visible appearance in long distance sight view. The pity of this project is, inside furniture not suitable for the kiosk, size and shape not matching with the coffee shop structure well. Finally
Client made inside furniture local for 1st batch kiosks.
This coffee cup shaped design kiosk also attracted by Africa coffee brand agency, and South America ice cream agency. We made different branding on it, and change the roof design so that suitable for ice cream shop brand agency. It is same brand marketing design concept. Even we made another shape of coffee cup shaped kiosk as ceramic cup with holder. It is part of brand culture, as normal coffee shop set up in real estate buildings. We can consider the prefabricated coffee shop which made of sheet metal and fiberglass instead of small size commercial constructions for coffee shop, ice cream shop, grilled shop, telecom service point of sales, lottery ticket station and beverage shop. According to belief of this coffee shop portable design, we are confident about set up a success new coffee brand in local market, and I find out partner in a training course which learn social media market promotion. Unemployment exist in any city, a tricycle coffee cart in a night market, topic outdoor pop-up market. As a culture features, it becoming more and more popular.
We start testing in nigh pop-up market. and hold topic weekly market in creative park. But the result is disappointment. Customer currency is very poor. Even the coffee price is very low. 4 staffs go to the nigh market, only sell RMB40.00, we can’t get back the truck cost to the market. The failure lead to my thinking about, how can be possibility of earn money from open a portable coffee shop? If client buy our cart, and not able to get investment back, surely coffee cart not able to get good performance in the market. Nobody can earn money under very serious competitions condition. Commercial success not only determined by beautiful equipment. It is whole product and service system. Including brand marketing, business model, supply chain ability, staff talent about distribution, the market competition situations. We have to learn more knowledge about brand marketing, retail and promotion, consumer psychology etc.
